Meet Pedro Pinagé, founder of Rio Piriá, a handcrafted printing studio that celebrates Amazonian biodiversity through original designs.
He was one of the five outstanding entrepreneurs from the first cycle of the Negócio Raiz Project.
The Negócio Raiz Project was designed to support 1,500 young entrepreneurs over three years, focusing on young entrepreneurs from Brazil’s North and Northeast regions.
In 2024, its first cycle, the project engaged over 800 young people in online and in-person entrepreneurship trainings.
Among these, 102 participants were selected for an intensive acceleration process, combining individualized mentoring.
The methodological approach combines trainings with accessible language, practical tools, and concepts such as effectuation and socio-biodiversity, valuing local knowledge and strengthening sustainable businesses.
Additionally, the project provided seed investments of R$ 3,000 to five entrepreneurs who showed outstanding performance during the cycle.
Negócio Raiz is an initiative by Aliança Empreendedora in partnership with Youth Business International (YBI) and funded by the Standard Chartered Foundation, as part of the global Futuremakers program.
